Patrick McGinnis had recently graduated from Christian Brothers University with degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Computer Engineering. Through his work with IEEE he met Dr. Ben Amaba. Dr. Ben Amaba urged Patrick to start a group that would use the IBM platform to help reshape Memphis.
Brian McGinnis was a 3rd year student at Christian Brothers University studying to receive degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Computer Engineering. Brian held the position of Chair in the IEEE CBU Student Branch.
Jill Johnson was a 1st year student at Christian Brothers University studying to receive degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Computer Engineering. Jill was also involved with the IEEE CBU Student Branch.
With Help from
Dr. Ben Amaba had met the group several times through S-PAC (Student-Professional Awareness Conference) and urged Patrick to start a group to work with students to help build a competent workforce in Memphis so that jobs stay in Memphis.
Ian had also worked with Dr. Ben Amaba and that is how NoBox became connected to Ian and his company Mibio Medical.
